Time was of the essence during one of our recent jobs at the TK Maxx distribution centre in Newcastle under Lyme where our engineers were tasked with installing the control wiring on a shredder – and we’re not talking desktop size!
As the major retailer is about to embark on its busiest period of the year, it was img_1106editedvital that we went in and got the job done quickly and efficiently. The huge machine is needed to shred and compact the masses of cardboard and packaging that comes through the centre, ready for recycling.

The successful installation was carried out on behalf of one of our newest clients, Vecoplan; an international
company specialising in waste processes and recycling technologies.

We sent a team of four men over four days to ensure the work could be successfully completed in accordance with the customer’s requirements.

The job involved installing the wiring to control the shredder, including instructions to the conveyor and the bailer. This involved a 132 KW motor, a spark detection system to prevent any fires and various other motors and conveyors.

The system shreds all the scrap cardboard and feeds it into a bailer unit which compacts it into small blocks ready to be taken away for recycling.

We have a large base of loyal customers, including big names such as Royal Mail, Thimg_1122orpe Park, Ocado and Wincanton. One of the reasons these customers keep coming back is because we understand their need to work with reliable, efficient and knowledgeable engineers who appreciate how important it is that jobs are done quickly and properly.

Whatever your requirements or challenges, we will create tailor made packages of care to ensure your needs are fulfilled.
